Remember in 2016 when photos of the beautiful "Badjao Girl" trended online? Rita Gaviola has now come a long way since that Pahiyas Festival picture and now she's planning to join Miss Universe Philippines.
"Soon sasali na tayo sa miss u ?," she posted on Instagram.
Gaviola has dabbled in modeling, acting, and reality shows since she became an internet sensation. She joined Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2016 alongside Miss Universe Philippines hopeful Kisses Delavin.
The 18-year-old posted another photo teasing about joining Miss Universe Philippines, saying "Beauty is not flowless it shines even though your flaws, #miss u universe soon ??."
Her followers are showing support for her plans in the comments section of the post, with one fan saying "Ganda Filipina - bagay ka pang pageantry, iha."
