64-year-old actress Jamie Lee Curtis bagged her first Oscar for Everything Everywhere All at Once—over four decades since her film debut.
Curtis reigned supreme in the Best Supporting Actress category, beating the likes of Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Hong Chau (The Whale), and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once).

“We just won an Oscar!” Curtis said as she turned emotional in her acceptance speech.
“I know it looks like I’m standing up here by myself, but I’m not. I am hundreds of people,” she noted, giving a shoutout to the incredible team behind their award-winning film.
She also expressed her gratitude to those who have been there for her since she started her career in the movie industry. “We just won an Oscar together!”
This feat marks her first Oscar nomination and win since she started her acting career over 40 years ago. She made her big-screen debut in the 1978 film Halloween as the original "scream queen.”
The 2023 Oscars are being held on Monday, March 13 (Philippine time) in Los Angeles, California. It's being livestreamed on Disney+.
