The juice is on the loose again! The Deetz family is on another adventure after the portal to the afterlife has been re-opened in the first teaser trailer of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

In the over-a-minute trailer, the Deetz family returned to their home in Winter River. It began with Astrid (Jenna Ortega) cycling around the town, passing by familiar places of Miss Shannon's School for Girls and the iconic red bridge. ICYDK, in the original movie, this was where Barbara and Adam Maitland (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) crashed which resulted in their deaths.

The teaser trailer also showed Astrid attending a funeral for a yet-to-be-revealed character alongside her mom, Lydia (Winona Ryder), and grandmother, Delia (Catherine O’Hara), who was also in the 1988 cast.

Lydia's life went upside-down when her rebellious daughter, Astrid unveiled the mysterious model of the town in the attic, where the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened.

Michael Keaton, who reprised his titular role in the sequel, faced the now-scared Lydia saying, “The juice is loose.”

“With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem,” its logline read.

The film is helmed by award-winning gothic horror filmmaker Tim Burton, with a screenplay by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar.

The film stars Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, and Jenna Ortega. Joining them in the cast are Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Arthur Conti, and Willem Dafoe (“Poor Things”, “At Eternity’s Gate”).

The film is set to open in Philippine cinemas on Sept. 4.
