The unbreakable bee.

There are just some questions in this world that don’t have a definite answer: is there life after death? Do aliens exist? How does a fast food chain’s bee mascot survive a 2-day fire?

Netizens asked the third question this week when firefighter Jo Olivz posted a photo of Jollibee’s famous bee mascot standing perfectly upright after a fire ravaged the Gaisano Grand Mall located in the province of Antique.

Standing in a sea of debris with his unmistakable red blazer, chef's hat, and welcoming pose, the photo itself is truly a sight to behold. Olivz captioned the viral photo-turned-meme with “Jollibee lng sakalam.!" (Only Jollibee is strong!) on Friday, June 18.

Per a report from the Philippine News Agency, the fire caused over P80 million worth in damages to the two-storey mall, with 57 mall stalls being destroyed in the process. It was officially put out on Saturday, June 19.

"We have declared the fire out since there was no more ember and the heat had already cooled down inside the mall," declared Antique's Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Marshal Randy Pudadera on Saturday after battling the fire since June 17.

Meanwhile, the Internet has flocked to Olivz}s Facebook post as it now has 2,000 reactions 2,700 shares, and countless reposts across social media.
