#ProtectKimSeonho, ‘Good Boy,’ ‘2d1n’ trend on social media following Kim Seonho’s abortion controversy
Fans expressed disappointment, sadness, and even indignation after Kim Seonho apologized for his “carelessness and inconsiderate actions” over a reported abortion scandal involving his ex-girlfriend.
In a statement translated by Soompi, Seonho apologized for hurting his ex-girlfriend after he was previously involved in a viral online story about an actor who allegedly forced his girlfriend into having an abortion. Salt Entertainment, the actor's entertainment agency, also apologized for “causing concern to many.”
Following Seonho's apology, the hashtag #ProtectKimSeonho trended on social media.
Twitter user @iksongsrain reminded fans that “stanning should have its limits" and to not “trade your morals for someone you don’t know personally.”
Idk why this hashtag is trending but this is a friendly reminder for everyone that stanning should have its limits. don't ever trade your morals for someone you don't know personally and whose image is carefully crafted for public approval. #ProtectKimSeonHo

On the other hand, @xoxosolemn called out Seonho’s ex-girlfriend for coming out “in the middle of the actress'/actor's success,” urging her to “stop ruining careers.”
What I don't understand is why these people only come out in the middle of the actress'/actor's success. Really? For what? Publicity? Damn, build your courage right away if the issue needs to be addressed. STOP RUINING THEIR CAREERS #ProtectKimSeonHo

Meanwhile, @heyitsmeecum thanked the actor for “bravely admitting the issue.” “I am disappointed but not enough to make me stop supporting you as a great actor,” she added.
Your statement is too vague for my brain to process eveything but thank you for bravely admitting the issue. I am disappointed but not enough to make me stop supporting you as a great actor. #KimSeonHo #ProtectKimSeonHo pic.twitter.com/kE3uFsc6kJ

Despite Seonho's controversy, @kimseonho1231 hoped that the actor will be “strong enough to walk this difficult road” and someone would “clear your name.”

@kmbrlyrs01 maintained that Seonho is “innately good” even if she doesn’t “know him personally.”
I may not personally know Seon Ho but for someone who have watched all the episodes of 2D1N Season 4, one could really tell that Seon Ho is innately good. ? Manners can't be easily faked, especially when one sits like this ? We love you our Babie! #ProtectKimSeonHo #KimSeonHo pic.twitter.com/f2uIBayW63

Meanwhile, Twitter user @rozensuj said her “heart goes to” Seonho’s ex-girlfriend, hoping that she would “find strength.”
my heart goes to the ex-gf and her baby. no one deserved to be treated like that. i hope she finds strength.
— rozen (@rozensuj) October 20, 2021
@epikhugs seconded @rozensuj’s tweet, saying that victims “speak because they endure an unbearable pain” and “want people to hear them.”
victims speak because they endure an unbearable pain, they speak because they want people to hear them, reflect on that instead of accusing them trying to ruin people’s career

@sleeplessaqua voiced out her frustration towards fans who are “still doing mental gymnastics to blame the girl.” “It's not your place to say, ‘It's okay, nobody's perfect. let's move on.’ because you're not the woman who was forced into a difficult situation. you're a human before a fan,” she added.
this #ProtectKimSeonHo hashtag??? He straight up admitted it but his fans are still doing mental gymnastics to blame the girl "why now, at the peak of his career?" the woman has to live bearing the scars of her past while the man is living his best life.

The phrase “Good Boy” also trended on social media, alluding to Seonho's role as Han Jipyeong in the K-drama Start-Up.
@uriseonshine admitted that she’s in “pain” after the actor “built up the image of a good boy.”
the way he built the image of a good boy... im in pain ?

Twitter user @dohsjoy lamented over certain fans who defended Seonho on social media, instead of siding with the “victim.”
how can you still vouch for the man and not for the victim who was traumatized and hurt, people seek justice until it’s their “oppas” at this point.

@rizalieann also expressed her disappointment over Seonho's controversy, especially that the actor is at “the peak of his career.” “We can't really trust someone's image bcoz the reality might be different from what we perceive,” she added.
"Good boy" to "Goodbye", real quick. He's at peak of his career right now. I'm disappointed & sad at the same time. Knowing knetz, I'm sure he'll suffer from this for a long time. We can't really trust someone's image bcoz the reality might be different from what we perceive.? https://t.co/RRrGVfomBD

“2d1n” also trended on social media following Seonho’s recent exit from the Korean variety show 2 Days & 1 Night. The actor has been a regular cast member since the show's fourth season.
Twitter user @unnieversity admitted that she feels “bad” for the cast and crew of the variety show and the recently concluded K-drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha since it “will affect them too.”
i feel so bad for homcha and 2d1n cast. this will affect them, too.

@didillss said the variety show’s cast must have felt “so betrayed” after Seonho’s controversy. Despite this, the Twitter user hoped that the show would still continue.
Can’t imagine about bang pd, ravi, dindin, seyoon, junghoon and jongmin feelings. They must be feeling so betrayed ?? they deserve to be continue the show until the good ending. Hwaitingg 2d1n teams !!! pic.twitter.com/njVpfoTojJ
