Is retro fashion your aesthetic? Complete your outfit with this nostalgic Barbie flip phone!

HMD, a manufacturer of Nokia phones, has launched a Barbie flip phone in the doll's iconic pink color. More than its Y2K look, the device takes on an old-school approach as it comes with basic functions of call and text—no internet and social media apps.

The latest collaboration with Mattel, the maker of iconic Barbie toys, features a hot pink phone with a bold “Barbie” logo on the back, fitting the iconic doll’s fashion.

When turned on, the phone will greet its users with a "Hi Barbie!"

The Barbie flip phone comes with a jewelry box.

According to the company, the absence of the internet and social media features in flip phones helps users to “disconnect to reconnect.”

“In our fast-paced digital world, it can often feel like the online buzz never stops,” Lars Silberbauer, chief marketing officer for HMD, said in a statement Wednesday, as per a CNBC report.

“This phone encourages you to ditch your smartphone in times when you just want less browsing and more fun, all with the help of a true cultural icon, Barbie,” he added.

This nostalgic flip phone also has a 0.3-megapixel camera with a flash torch for taking “Y2K style” images. Users can also add a Barbie camera frame when snapping photos.

While you won't find Instagram of X on this phone, users may enjoy the built-in apps including Malibu Snake, Digital Balance Tips, and Barbie Meditation.

Staying true to the doll's "kikay" fashion, you can also change its back covers and accessorize it with Barbie-themed stickers and gems and put a beaded phone strap with attachable charms. All of these are included in the jewelry box when you purchase the phone.

The phone was recently made available in the U.K. at £99 ($130, or over P7,000) and they are planning to launch it as well in the U.S. soon.

The iconic doll, first released in 1959, made waves again with the premiere of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie in 2023. The film became a massive hit and was hailed as the highest-grossing release of the year, amassing $1.4 billion at the global box office as per a Variety report.

The movie also earned nominations and wins from prestigious award-giving bodies, like the Academy Awards, Golden Globes, and People’s Choice Awards, among others.
