Legendary singer Tina Turner’s cause of death revealed
Tina Turner’s cause of death has been revealed by her representatives.
According to E! Online, the legendary singer’s cause of death “has been attributed to natural causes,” as confirmed by her team.
Turner passed away in Switzerland on Wednesday, May 24 at age 83. “With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow,” an official statement on her social media pages read.
“Today, we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly,” it added.
NBC News said that her passing came after a long illness.
E! Online likewise reported that the veteran performer remained open about her health concerns in the “latter years of her life.” These included high blood pressure, vertigo, stroke, intestinal cancer, and kidney failure.
The iconic songstress also opened up in her 2021 documentary about dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder from her abusive marriage to her ex-lover, musician Ike Turner.
Turner became famous for her hit songs (Simply) The Best, Proud Mary, and What’s Love Got to Do with It, among others.
