‘Money Heist’ is back, plus more shows to watch this weekend

Published Sep 03, 2021 3:06 pm

The first part of the final season of Money Heist, also known as La Casa de Papel, is dropping this Friday, September 3.

Since premiering in 2017, the world-spanning series has won Best Drama Series at the International Emmy Awards and has become the most-watched non-English-language show on Netflix.

Instead of releasing all 10 episodes at once, there will be two volumes to this last installment. Volume 1 will be composed of five episodes and premiere in September, while the final five episodes will air in December.

If you’re in the mood for something similar to Train to Busan that’s horrifyingly relevant to current events, the 2013 South Korean disaster film Flu is currently number one on the streamer. The intense film is about an outbreak of a deadly strain of H5N1 that kills its victims within 36 hours, complete with all the pandemic horrors that come with a city-wide lockdown.

Here‘s a roundup of the newest additions and top trending shows to watch on Netflix this weekend.
