The orphans of Grace Field may have escaped the horrors of the plantation but their freedom is endangered by more horrendous threats.

The Promised Neverland's official Twitter account has revealed a new full trailer to give fans a more complete look at the upcoming second season of the series.

The two-minute trailer shows off many of the new challenges Emma and the others will be facing as they head into a mysterious forest outside the boundaries of the Grace Field House they once called home. Though surrounded by enemies on all fronts, the children encounters Sonju (Shin'ichirō Kamio) and Mujika (Atsumi Tanezaki), two unlikely allies that will help them get past the hurdles ahead.

For the second season, Mamoru Kanbe is directing, Toshiya Ono and original manga writer Kaiu Shirai is in charge for the scripts, Kazuaki Shimada is assuming character design and chief animation director roles, while Takahiro Obata is returning as composer, with Katsunori Shimizu as sound director. The rest of the voice cast return from the previous season.

For the soundtrack, Kiro Akiyama will perform the second season's opening theme song "Identity" while Myuk will perform the second season's ending theme song "Mahō." J-Pop artist Eve also contributed to the music in the song.

The second season of The Promised Neverland was scheduled to premiere in October, but due to the pandemic, was delayed to Jan. 7, 2021.

Aniplex of America and Funimation will stream the English language release of the series for viewers in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Ireland; on AnimeLab in Australia and New Zealand; and on Wakanim in France, Germany, Scandinavia and Russia.
