Art Fair Philippines is back doing in-person events!

Now that restrictions have eased and physical events are in full swing, Art Fair Philippines will be returning to its original venue at The Link in Makati City just in time for their 10th anniversary.

The three-day event happening on February 17 to 19, will have a new biophilic design to give its visitors a refreshed experience in exploring the featured exhibits.

A total of 63 local and international exhibitors will participate in this year’s Art Fair including Kapitan Kulam, León Gallery, Lunang Mentoring Program, Mark Lewis Higgins, METRO Gallery, to name a few.

The Link carpark in Makati will once again transform into a multi-level art exhibition venue for this year's Art Fair.
What to expect

The ArtFair Philippines 2023 will hold a series of activities and programs to be held inside The Link. One of which is ArtFairPH/ Digital, a section centering on digital media art. This will include works that incorporate and engage with computer technology, computer technology, animation, virtual or augmented reality, the metaverse, and Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).

The fair will also feature comissioned works from notable artists for ArtFairPH/Projects. Along with that, special exhibits are to be displayed at The Link's roofdeck for ArtFairPH/Photo Special Exhibits, including photographer Wawi Navarroza’s series of striking self-portraits, female abstractionist Rosario Bitanga's paintings, and special projects by Indonesian artist Yunizar, and German painter, sculptor and object artist Peter Zimmerman.

Apart from the exhibits, this year's event is made extra special as it honors two notable artists in the community, the late Norma Liongoren (Liongoren Gallery) and Albert Avellana (Avellana ArtGallery).

The fair will also showcase works from this year's artists who have completed their art residencies in various parts of the country, as well as films curated by the Ateneo Art Gallery.

Fun learning experience

It's one thing to see and experience the artworks, but it's a different thing to acquire wisdom from the experts themselves.

At ArtFairPH/Talks, in partnership with Ateneo Art Gallery and Museum Foundation, fairgoers are given opportunities to delve more into various topics that will enrich their art appreciation. This will include lectures, panel discussions, and artists' talks.

Furthermore, the fair also offers ArtFairPH/Workshops in partnership with Tezos and its Asian arm, TZAPAC. Focusing on digital art, this session will pave opportunities to learn more about digital artistry and topics about the local crypto art scene.

Apart from the three-day exhibit, the fair will also hold a series of activities called 10 Days of Art initiative, which will be held from Feb.10 to 19. The events will be carried out by participating galleries, museums, bars, restaurants, and retail establishments that further celebrate art.
