‘The Boys Presents: Diabolical’ debuts on Prime Video in March
Prime Video has announced that the animated spin-off to the gritty hit superhero TV series The Boys is slated to premiere in March.
The streaming platform confirmed that the eight-episode animated anthology series titled The Boys Presents: Diabolical will debut exclusively on Prime Video on March 4, 2022.
Each episode of the animated show will run about 12-14 minutes and will also feature different animation styles along with unseen stories set in The Boys universe.
The first season was brought to life by a variety of talented people in the entertainment industry such as Awkwafina, Garth Ennis, Eliot Glazer and Ilana Glazer, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, Simon Racioppa, Justin Roiland and Ben Bayouth, and Andy Samberg.
In line with the announcement, Prime Video also released a wacky animated trailer for Diabolical, providing fans a glimpse at what to expect from the upcoming anthology series.

The Boys Presents: Diabolical is executive produced by Simon Racioppa, Eric Kripke, Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, Loreli Alanís, Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, and Ben Kalina.
As for the flagship gritty superhero series, The Boys’ highly-anticipated third season will feature three new actors: Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva and Nick Wechsler.
According to EW, Villanueva (Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders) will portray the role of Supersonic, a new Supe rumored to be an ex-flame of Starlight.
Flannery (The Boondock Saints), meanwhile, will play as Gunpowder while Wechsler (Revenge) will be suiting up as Blue Hawk. Amazon has yet to reveal further details about the series' new characters and their powers.
Previously, The Boys also confirmed that Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles is also suiting up for the show's third season as "the original superhero" Soldier Boy, who became the first super celebrity after fighting in World War II.
The series’ third season stars Karl Urban (Billy Butcher), Jack Quaid (Hughie), Antony Starr (Homelander), Erin Moriarty (Starlight), Chace Crawford (The Deep), Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko), Tomer Kapon (Frenchie), Laz Alonso (Marvin T. Milk), Dominique McElligott (Queen Maeve), Jessie T. Usher (A-Train), and Nathan Mitchell (Black Noir).
Based on The New York Times best-selling graphic novel by Ennis and Robertzon, the series, developed by executive producer and showrunner Kripke, features a fun and irreverent take on what happens when popular superheroes abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good.
Hellbent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, a group of vigilantes dubbed The Boys continue their heroic quest in the upcoming season to expose the truth about The Seven and the multibillion-dollar conglomerate, Vought.
The Emmy-nominated superhero series will debut three episodes on Prime Video on June 3, with new episodes available each Friday until the season finale on July 8.
