KZ Tandingan weds TJ Monterde with 'other dad' walking her down the aisle

KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde are now married! The couple of five years revealed it through the music video of their song Can’t Wait to Say I Do uploaded on YouTube on Thursday.

The couple, who announced their engagement in December 2019, said their “I do’s” on August 28 at The Farm at San Benito in Lipa City, Batangas. It was officiated by Pastor Nolan Galido of Inspire Church Metro.

KZ was immaculate in a white suit, while TJ looked dapper in his brown tux. Both ensembles were by Light Shine White.

Their close friends were present at the venue, while their families, who reside in Mindanao, attended via Zoom. Martin Nievera walked KZ down the aisle in the absence of her father Tex Tandingan Jr.

KZ recalled the magical moment in her Instagram post, “God finally made our 'Puhon' a reality. With only a handful of people and our families attending through Zoom, we held our symbolic wedding under a 300-hundred-year-old Mango tree."

"We didn’t think we could get married this year because our families are in Mindanao and couldn’t fly in. But our folks, being the selfless, understanding, and amazing parents they are, encouraged us to get wed. Bittersweet getting married without my parents walking me down the aisle, but I’m thankful that my other dad, @martinnievera, stepped in to give me away. Thankful for friends who went out of their way to do multiple testing, isolation, and travel to be with us on our special day,” she added.

KZ and TJ chose The Farm at San Benito for its COVID-free environment. All the attendees underwent COVID-19 tests and were cleared before entry. The couple complied responsibly with all the strict guidelines.
