The Philippine Esports industry has achieved a new milestone following the launch of the first fully-integrated and end-to-end gaming and social networking web-app dubbed as Kalaro.

Kalaro serves as a virtual community for Esports players, coaches, teams, influencers, team owners, leagues, and Esports fans. With Kalaro, members can meet other gamers, discuss the latest trends in the gaming industry, get updates about upcoming events or tournaments, watch their favorite "shoutcasters" in live streams, and interact with them in real-time.

The platform has tournament management and corporate brand sponsorship features to cater to more than 43 million Esports enthusiasts and companies in the Philippines. The-AsiaGroup.com Inc.’s Kalaro is the brainchild of four Filipino tech experts and business leaders with more than 85 years of combined experience.

“We are thrilled to witness Kalaro finally come to life. With Kalaro, we aim to serve millions of Esports enthusiasts in the country; the exponential growth of online tech and Esports is just phenomenal," said Jun D. Lasco, Kalaro software architect and Founder of The-AsiaGroup.com Inc./ Pnex Int’l Corporation.

The platform also seeks to hone the skills of Filipino Esports athletes in order to prepare them to compete in local and international arenas. It also serves as a central hub for tournaments where gamers are provided with a complete facility to launch and manage competitions on the web-app.

Kalaro also created a facility for corporate brands to set up online storefronts. The platform has a dedicated panel that allows companies to advertise, sponsor, and sell gaming rigs directly to the usually elusive gamers market.

The platform, developed using Google’s Progressive Web App framework running on Amazon Web Services infrastructure, was crafted in collaboration with international corporate tech-brands namely National Computer Systems of Singapore and ERNI from Switzerland. Kalaro also got support from local companies such as Union Bank of the Philippines, DragonPay, GCash, and Globe Labs to make transactions seamless, safe, and secure.

“We want to provide our Filipino players with the best gaming experience. In the same way, we want corporate brands to further reach their market through the platform. We look forward to having a strong community of brands and Esports enthusiasts that can create new opportunities,” said Renalyn B. David, board of directors and corporate secretary of The-AsiaGroup.com Inc./ Pnex Int’l Corporation.

Soon, Kalaro will have exciting benefits such as merchandise items, battle passes, and up to 200 Kalaro Gems for beta users and those who will qualify to be Kalaro Founding Members. This October, Kalaro will also launch the "Kalaro Founders Cup" tournament.
