Kim Go Eun and Kim Joo Hun star in ‘Untact’—shot entirely on a smartphone
Kim Go Eun and Kim Joo Hun are starring in a short film called Untact.
Untact is a story about two lovers who are temporarily separated during the global pandemic due to the stay-at-home orders, a reality for many couples around the world since COVID-19 struck.
Goblin and The King: Eternal Monarch star Kim Go Eun plays the female protagonist, while It's Okay To Not Be Okay star Kim Joo Hun plays her lover who went to study abroad, but had to self-isolate for 14 days when he returned to Korea.
During their time apart, they try to make their long-distance relationship feel a little bit closer by communicating online.
An official from Untact said, “Because it is a short film, it is short but it will show intensively the stories of men and women who cannot meet even if they want to meet due to the unprecedent situation of COVID-19."
The film, which is directed by Kim Ji Woon, was shot using a Samsung smartphone in 8K quantum dot LED (QLED) technology. It will be aired this October on Samsung Korea's YouTube page.
