Heart Evangelista explores the world of NFT

Published Oct 20, 2021 5:41 pm

Heart Evangelista is collaborating with Filipino artists to create her first NFT or non-fungible token.

On Wed, Oct. 20, Evangelista shared that she had been studying the world of NFTs and is currently working on her first digital artwork using her favorite pieces.

"These are really cool because they let a buyer prove that they are the true owner of a piece of art even if the art can be freely viewed by the public online. It’s such an interesting combination of art and technology that lets artists express themselves in a whole new way," Evangelista said on Instagram.

She then revealed that her first NFT is in collaboration with Luis Buenaventura, one of the first and most talented Filipino NFT artists, and Rodel Colmenar, composer of the Manila Philharmonic Orchestra.

The artist added: "It’s such a thrill to work with these talented artists to bring these NFT pieces to life and I’m so excited to share them with you on @opensea starting on November 4. Will be posting more information on how you can own one of these NFTs that are so special to me very soon!"

NFTs have fast become the hottest topic of conversation in the digital world. They are one-of-a-kind digital objects that people can create, buy, and sell using cryptocurrency—and these are not only limited to art, but also videos, songs, or quotes.

In the Philippines, Miss Universe Philippines has created the first-ever beauty pageant NFT collection, other celebrities like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Cara Delevigne have also sold their pieces in the digital market.
