Are you in the lookout for some new music to listen to? Maybe Barack Obama can help you find your next favorite jam.

The Philippines may be in the middle of the wet season right now, but if you still want to relive the warm feeling of summer, then Obama has got you covered.

The former US president took to the Twitter sphere to share the music playlist he's been listening to over the summer.

"Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together. Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer," Obama tweeted.

His list features both old and new songs, from Dancing in the Green by Bruce Springsteen and Let’s Go Crazy by Prince to Beyoncé's Break My Soul and Harry Styles’ Music For A Sushi Restaurant.

If you're the type whose good time is to break open a good book and read, however, then Obama also has a summer reading list he shared for bookworms.

It includes Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s Velvet Was the Night, a noir thriller that takes place in Mexico in the 1970s and was a finalist for the 2021 Los Angeles Times Book Prize in the mystery-thriller category, and Silverview, the final work of best-selling spy novelist John le Carré before he died.

After exiting the White House in 2017, Obama recently wrote a memoir titled A Promised Land that details his presidency. The book, published in 2020, offers the former president's "unique and thoughtful exploration of both the awesome reach and the limits of presidential power, as well as singular insights into the dynamics of U.S. partisan politics and international diplomacy."
