Mark your calendars! Apple announces 'It's Glowtime' event for September 9
Apple has set a date for its next big event!
The tech giant scheduled a stream for an event titled "It's Glowtime" for September 9, 1 p.m. ET (Sept. 10, 1 a.m. Philippine time). At this show, which will be held at Apple Park in California, the company is expected to launch the new iPhone 16 lineup.
It's rumored that the new line will still be comprised of four phones, namely the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max. All of them will reportedly feature the Action Button previously seen on the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max and a new capture button for snapping photos.
Other reports say that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will revert to a vertical dual camera alignment similar to the iPhone 12 series instead of the diagonal one seen on the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. Meanwhile, the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are said to be getting bigger 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays.
Apple is reportedly launching other products like the Apple Watch Series 10, Watch SE 3, and Watch Ultra 3. It could also unveil fourth-generation AirPods.
The tech giant could also dive deeper into Apple Intelligence, as the new line is rumored to be able to support the new software. However, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that the latest AI feature's rollout might be delayed until October.
The iPhone 15 series was launched on September 13, 2023, with the phones featuring the Dynamic Island and USB-C ports.
