'Twas the most metal meeting ever!

Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn, who plays metalhead Eddie Munson, paid a visit to Metallica at Lollapolooza in Chicago.

Before the band went on stage for their headlining set, the actor got to chat and jam with them.

"I'm a big fan of [Stranger Things]. Have been since season one. My kids and I, it's been a bonding experience for us," frontman James Hetfield told Quinn. "Thanks for doing [Master of Puppets] justice, by the way. You definitely did."

The British actor said Master of Puppets, which he played during the season 4 finale, was all he would listen to for two years. "I feel very connected to you guys."

Not letting the opportunity go to waste, Quinn and Metallica jammed out to the track, which was first released in 1986. The band also gifted the actor with a custom red and black electric guitar that all four members signed.

When the band took the Lollapalooza stage, the footage of Eddie shredding the guitar while battling Demobats was projected on screens onstage.
