The amazing rice: Man marries, then divorces, rice cooker

They say love can be found in unexpected places—and for Facebook user Khoirul Anam, he just happened to find it through his own rice cooker.

In a series of photos posted on Sept. 20, the young man shared photos of his wedding ceremony with the lucky kitchen appliance, where they can be seen ‘kissing’ and sealing the deal through a marriage contract.

While we all have different qualifications for whom we love. Anam shared the same status that the rice cooker is “fair, quiet, loving, obedient. I don't have much to say, I'm good at cooking, warm.”

“Without you, my rice is not cooked.” Well, he didn’t lie.

And while the rice, er, rest should be history, Anam revealed four days later that he and the rice cooker have decided to part ways.

“My decision is round.. heavy indeed.. but this is the way I take.. no perfect partner..” he added the hashtag #entertainment to make it clear that he's joking.

Though his posts are satirical, it’s since garnered a huge following to the tune of 8,000 reactions, 9.9k shares, and numerous articles about their whirlwind romance.

Maybe he’ll find love in the bathroom next time?
