August is about to end and what better way to cap it off than satisfying the geek in you?
For this weekend, malls and museums are throwing in some exciting activities to let you enjoy, learn, and fangirl (or boy) with your friends and family.
From ones to satisfy your cravings for Hallyu, anime, or something related to Pinoy history, to those that will help you become better moms or pops, these events are sure to give you quality bonding time with your loved ones.

Feed Your Seoul
Ayala Malls Glorietta
Catch the Hallyu wave in the latest series of events happening in Ayala Malls Glorietta until September. From August 26 to September 7, you can enjoy a stroll around their street market of Korean goodies and dine outdoors with your barkada. Other activities lined up for the month of September include a Taekwondo class and a Korean festival.
Genshin Impact’s Waypoint Exhibit
SM Mall of Asia
For travelers who want to take their daily commissions IRL, you may teleport to a life-size model of Genshin Impact’s iconic waypoint structure at the Level 1 South Entertainment Mall in SM Mall of Asia in Pasay. You can get your hands on a Hilichurl mask, take pictures with the cutouts of brand new playable characters, such as Collei and Tighnari, and even receive bookmarks and postcards!
You can check out the exhibit for free until September 6.
FanFes Manila
Ayala Malls Circuit
Invite your friends to a cosplay and anime convention at the Activity Center of Ayala Malls Center in Makati. The event will feature popular content creators, a marketplace for all your anime favorites, and a cosplay parade that will make for fun IG-worthy photos.
You can take part in the event for free from 11 am to 8 pm on August 27 and 28.
Bebe Bata
SMX Convention Center
For the moms and dads who want to spend some family time with their chikitings, Edamama’s family expo will be held at SMX Convention Center from August 26 to 28. Bebe Bata’s booth will throw in exciting learning activities, artsy workshops, and an exclusive parenthood talk. The expo will open at 10 a.m. daily, and you can register for free on Edamama’s official website.
Liberation: War and Hope
Ayala Museum
Liberation: War and Hope is an exhibit by the Filipinas Heritage Library, which delves into the everyday life of Filipinos before, during, and after World War II. According to its website, the exhibit features photos, everyday objects, printed materials, and documents of those who took part in the war and those who lived prior and sought normalcy after it.
It is available for viewing until September 25 at the 2F Greenbelt elevated walkway entrance. Admission is free, but limited capacity for visitors will be implemented with 14 guests at a time.
Apart from the gallery, Filipino Heritage Library's program comes with webinars discussing the "rebirth of the Philippine nation" after the war. You can find the schedule on its Facebook account here.
