Resident Evil remake wraps up filming
Sony Picture’s upcoming reboot of Resident Evil has just concluded filming, according to an announcement posted on Twitter.

Sony Pictures tweeted a behind the scenes photo showing a snap of the film's LED clapperboard. Based on the readings, the film clocked over 18 hours worth of footage before calling it a day.
The upcoming Resident Evil reboot aims to breathe new life into the film franchise by taking a peek into its ghastly roots—back to the year 1988 in a dying American town. It will also shed light on the secrets hidden in the walls of the Spencer Mansion, in accordance with Capcom's Resident Evil video game origins.
The film is among the few Resident Evil projects currently in the works. Avid fans of the horror/action video game franchise can look forward to a Resident Evil television series, as well as the Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness animated series. Both are being developed by Netflix.
The Resident Evil reboot movie is written and directed by Johannes Robert, starring Kaya Scodelario (Claire Redfield), Hannah John-Kamen (Jill Valentine) and Robbie Amell (Chris Redfield). Supporting cast includes Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Neal McDonough, Donal Logue, Chad Rook and Lily Gao. Released by Constantin Films, the film arrives in theaters in 2021.
