'Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma The Second Plate' streams free on YouTube

There are a couple of things that otakus love more than anime – food and free things.

And now, anime fans can get a taste of all three, courtesy of diversified Japanese animation content platform Ani-One.

Starting Nov. 18, Ani-One Asia will be streaming free episodes of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma The Second Plate. It’s a food-themed animated TV series following the adventures of teen chef Soma Yukihira as he and fellow classmates compete in the Autumn Elections of the prestigious Totsuki Culinary Academy.

Directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani and produced by J.C. Staff, the 13-episode second season also documents Soma’s stagiaire or unpaid internships at different restaurants. New episodes are uploaded every Wednesday, at around 1900H or 7 p.m., Philippine time.

Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma The Second Plate will legally stream for YouTube viewers in Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.

Aside from the second season of Shokugeki no Soma, the Ani-One Asia YouTube channel also streams some episodes of the following Japanese dubbed (with English subs) anime titles for free:
