WATCH: 'The Marvels' teaser trailer offers first look at Park Seo Joon's MCU debut
The new teaser trailer for The Marvels is here!
Marvel Entertainment on Tuesday, April 11 dropped the first official teaser for the hotly anticipated film starring Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, and Samuel L. Jackson. It offered a first look at Park Seo Joon’s character, who seemed to be in the middle of the war in the clips.
Marvel has yet to confirm if the Korean actor—who is best known for his roles in Itaewon Class and What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?, among others—would portray the character of Prince Yan, Captain Marvel’s love interest.
Rumors about Seo-Joon's appearance in a Captain Marvel sequel started in 2021. It was later confirmed by his agency, Awesome ENT, with an announcement that he was en route to the production site. They have since remained tight-lipped about his role in the upcoming movie.
Apart from a glimpse of the K-drama star's character in the film, the teaser trailer also shows the thrilling adventure of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), S.A.B.E.R. astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), Jersey City super-fan Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), who is also known as Ms. Marvel and Carol’s estranged niece as the unlikely trio teams up in saving the universe as “The Marvels.”
The film, directed by Nia DaCosta and produced by Kevin Feige, is set to premiere on Nov. 10.
