It doesn't take Nancy Drew to figure out that Chris Evans and Ana de Armas had more than one type of tension in the Oscar-nominated murder-mystery whodunnit Knives Out.

There, nurse Marta Cabrera (de Armas) inherits her mystery novelist boss Harlan Thrombey's entire fortune, much to the dismay of Hugh Ransom Drysdale (Chris Evans) and the rest of their family that was tragicomically left out of the will.

Fans of Knives Out can now look forward to a reunion between Evans and de Armas in a different genre: action.

Apple TV+ has released the first official trailer of Ghosted, set for release on Apr. 21.

"Meeting that special someone can be a real adventure," its official synopsis reads.

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the film is being described by its producers as "a high-concept romantic action-adventure in the vein of 'Romancing the Stone,' the 1984 adventure movie that starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner."

Evans was initially set to star in Ghosted with Avengers co-star Scarlett Johansson who was replaced by de Armas four months after the film was announced in August 2021.

Dexter Fletcher directed the upcoming film. His earlier credits include musical biopics Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody, which won Rami Malek the Oscar for Best Actor at the 91st Academy Awards for his performance as Freddie Mercury.

De Armas is currently nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Marilyn Monroe in Blonde. She is the first Cuban woman to achieve the feat. Moreover, her performance in Knives Out scored her a nod for Golden Globe for Best Actress.

Knives Out was nominated for Best Original Screenplay at the 92nd Academy Awards. PhilSTAR L!fe will save you the trouble, Sherlock Holmes. It lost to Bong Joon-ho's Parasite that year.
