Princess Diana is in ‘The Crown’ trailer everyone is waiting for

Netflix just dropped the first trailer of The Crown season 4. Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin) and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher (Gillian Anderson) make their first appearance.

The award-winning series follows the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. It has received acclaim for its writing, acting, directing, and casting. Claire Foy and Olivia Colman play a young and middle-aged Queen Elizabeth II, respectively; and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon; Matt Smith (seasons 1 and 2) and Tobias Menzies (seasons 3 and 4) as Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh; and Josh O'Connor as Prince Charles (seasons 3 and 4).

The Crown season 4 sees the ’70s drawing to a close as Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) and her family are preoccupied with safeguarding the line of succession by securing an appropriate bride for Prince Charles (Josh O’Connor), who is still unmarried at 30.

While Charles’ romance with a young Lady Diana Spencer (Emma Corrin) provides a much-needed fairytale to unite the British people, as the transformation from teenager to Princess of Wales takes place, it is anything but a fairytale for Diana.

The Crown season 4 is set to be released on Nov. 15.
