Here’s a sneak peek at the envisioned COVID-less 2024 Paris Olympics
The 2024 Olympics may be a long way to go, but Paris is already hyping up the world.
With a COVID-less future in mind, the Paris Olympics Instagram account has been posting teasers of what we can expect from the prestigious games three years from now. Since it will be 100 years since Paris hosted the Olympics in 1924, it's truly set to be a special celebration for the capital of France.
Though we're still thick in the pandemic for now, the Paris Olympic mock-ups and teaser showcase a bright future where crowds can finally gather and rightly cheer for their athletes and home countries. Here are the events that have been envisioned so far:
BMX, freestyle skateboarding, and 3x3 basketball: Place de la Concorde
Archery: Les Invalides (or Hôtel National des Invalides)
Judo: Champ de Mars
Fencing: Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées
Tennis: Stade Roland Garros
Badminton: Arena Porte de la Chapelle
Meanwhile, Los Angeles is slated to host the 2028 Olympics from from July 21 to August 6, 2028, in seven years' time.
