Satisfying group platters you can enjoy with your family this weekend

We are so thankful for weekends.

After a tiring week of endless to-do lists, we can finally just relax and bond with our families.

One of the best ways to do so is by sharing a meal on the dining table as we exchange stories and catch up with one another. Do you agree? If you’re too tired to cook, you can simply order in your favorite food and have the best time with the gang.

Here are some satisfying group meals you can delight in with your family this weekend.

The pancit-lumpia cake (starting at P1,299, good for 6-8 people) by Max's Restaurant could make a great addition to your dining table, be it for a special celebration or just because. Made with pancit canton, lumpiang shanghai, lumpiang ubod, and breaded fish fillet, what makes it quite ~extra~ is how it’s shaped into a cake. You can even enjoy it in other variations.

Do you belong to a fried chicken-loving family? Kettle’s buttermilk fried chicken can make your tummy happy as you have it with cornbread muffins as well as a side of your choice: rice (P1,195), truffle gorgonzola (P1,495) , or chicken bolognese (P1,395). It’s good for 4 pax.

If you prefer some ribs and steak, you can opt for Blake’s All-in Platter (P1,945) by Blake's Wings and Steaks, which comes with ½ ribs, 3 T-bone steaks, ½ kg wings, and ½ kg ribs with corn and carrots and mashed potato on the side.

Pantry Project Manila’s best-seller is called “badass bopis” for a reason. Priced at P280 (good for 2-3 pax), this Filipino dish goes well with steamed white rice and some beer that balance its spicy kick.

Watching Netflix with the family? Instead of the usual popcorn, why not go for other munchies? Piattos, for one, is now offering supersized packs in classic cheese as well as sour cream and onion for only P55 each. It’s made with bigger chips and more flavor that your fam will definitely love.

We kinda miss having boodle fights especially during outings. But since we can't really go elsewhere and have a feast with the whole barangay, Barrio Fiesta's Fiesta To Go meals will do. With their ulam, pica-picas, and desserts, you can whip up your own boodle fight at home! There's Pancit Malabon (starts at P370), Pork Barbeque (P195/5 pcs), Lumpiang Shanghai (P75/5 pcs), Crispy Chicken Original (P350/6pcs) and so much more. If you need ideas for your next ulam, you can also watch their Summer Cook-Off with Ashley Rivera and guest Chef JP on their Facebook page!
