GUIDE: How to apply for a rush or expedited passport
ICYMI, the Department of Foreign Affairs-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) is offering rush passport processing from March 1 until further notice.
To sign up, applicants first need to book an appointment with the DFA’s Passport Online Appointment System (OAS), where an additional P250 will be added to the usual P950 passport processing fee. If you’ve already booked an appointment without the expedited add-on, you can request for expedited add-on at the Consular Office itself.
The passport release dates are as follows for both pick-ups and through courier, with rushed passports arriving at least a week earlier than their regular counterparts.
EMERGENCY TRAVEL
Meanwhile, those who need to fly urgently must send an email to [email protected] or head straight to the nearest Consular Office (check their directory here), along with proof of urgent travel.
