Expect to go on more furbulous dates with your pets in the coming days, as commuting around Metro Manila with your fondlings has become easier.

Earlier this month, Grab Philippines announced the return of GrabPet, its pet-friendly mobility services that will enable you to tag along your fur babies and other pets as you travel to various parts of the metro.

The service is offered by the ride-hailing app's six-seater vehicles operated by their drivers who took pet-handling training with certified pet trainers, giving you the assurance that you and your pets will start your fur dates safely.

In addition, Grab said all GrabPet rides come with added insurance to ensure the well-being of your pets on board.

Aside from dogs and cats, you can also book trips with your turtles, hamsters, rabbits, and fishes. The ride-hailing app, meanwhile, only accepts a maximum of two medium pets (e.g. Poodles, any cats, etc.) or one large pet per ride. Traveling with your family is also possible as the GrabPet service allows a maximum of four passengers in every ride.

To ensure the safety of both its passengers and drivers, Grab has listed a few guidelines worth keeping in mind before booking your ride:

  • Pets should always travel with human passengers
  • Pet owners should avoid booking rides if their pets have flees or any type of parasite
  • Pets should ride the vehicle in their diapers and inside carriers. Here is a guide on how you should transport your pet based on their type:

You can book GrabPet in the following areas covered by the service: Makati-BGC CBD, Shaw-Ortigas, Pasay MOA and NAIA, Malate Ermita, and San Juan.
