MUJI teases a photo of a barista and coffee. Are they opening a cafe in BGC soon?
Looks like Muji is bringing their café to our shores soon.
In case you didn't know, Japanese specialty brand Muji—which specializes in minimalistic furnityre, clothing, and stationary—also has delicatessen-style café restaurant that serves 'Simple Food' or "dishes that are cooked as simply as possible to bring out ingredients natural taste."
On April 3, MUJI Philippines posted a vector art of a barista with a cup of coffee and coffee machine beside him, which may be a possible hint about a Cafe&Meal MUJI coming soon.
Nothing's official yet, but they teased "something big" is indeed coming soon.
"Something big is coming to BGC," they wrote on Facebook. "Stay tuned."
Currently, Cafe&Meal MUJI has branches in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, and Singapore.
Different menus vary per country, but they all offer cakes and pastries, as well as hot and cold drinks. Various hot and cold deli dishes are also available at the cafe, including Lemon Marinated Snapper with Miso Broth, Hokkaido Potato Croquette, and Scallop & Pumpkin Salad with Quinoa, to name a few. There's also set meals for those who want to get a bit of everything; each set includes rice or bread, soup, and a choice or two from their deli menu.
