Yay or nay? Burger King Thailand launches burger with only 20 slices of cheese
Burger King Thailand just launched a “meatless burger” containing all cheese—in 20 slices, no less!
Dubbed the “real cheeseburger,” the new item is packed with a generous serving of American cheese between two sesame buns. “Not for fun, this is for real!” the fast food chain clarified in a Facebook post. It’s being sold for 109 Thai baht (P171) from the usual price of 380 Thai baht (P599).
Richard Barrow, a writer of Thai travel guides, gave an actual look at it on Twitter, saying that putting cheese “on literally everything” has been a trend in the country.
“Burger King has joined in with the real cheeseburger, though I think they forgot the meat,” he tweeted.
While he’s a self-proclaimed cheese lover, Barrow said he “struggled eating even half of this ‘burger.’” He added: “Maybe I should grill the other half? What do you think?”

The new offering garnered mixed reactions from netizens. While some said it’s “too much,” others said they would love to try it, still. There were also some who pointed out its affordable price, saying that they would buy it just so they could take the cheese home and use it somewhere else.
