Mary Grace explains why you might have been having a hard time getting their signature ensaymadas
Have you been having a hard time finding a box of Mary Grace's famous ensaymadas? The cafe explained that the pastry shortage is due to "global supply issues."
Mary Grace issued a statement on May 25 to its customers, which read: "You may be having difficulty getting your hands on a box or two of your favorite Mary Grace ensaymadas. Unfortunately, we're experiencing global supply issues on a few raw materials, beyond our control."
They also said they don't want to "compromise" their products with lesser quality ingredients.
"As we are committed to using only the best, high-quality ingredients, do know that we will never compromise on what goes into all our products and we're hoping to resolve this issue soon!" the statement said.
Earlier in April, fast food chain McDonald's announced that they are in short supply of their fries due to the recent global shipping crisis brought about by the war in Ukraine. This has also likely impacted Mary Grace, too, as their ensaymadas use wheat and sugar.
