Staycation deals: Unlimited meals at Sheraton, gifts at Peninsula, discounted bookings on Agoda
We all need a break from WFH. It’s time to recharge in this transition month between the hot summer and the wet season, when we could still get sunny days on the beach, or enjoy a staycation in the city for a weekend without worries.
If you’re one among many Filipinos who decide at the last-minute whether to book a hotel or resort, don’t judge yourself! According to Agoda’s search data, the Philippines ranks 8th in the Asia Pacific region with the most people searching for same-day travel.
Below are great deals that come with gifts, dining perks and good prices for a quick or a long break—because we all deserve one.
Unlimited breakfast, lunch and dinner at Sheraton Manila
This may be the best deal for people who love to eat during their staycation. Sheraton Manila Hotel joins Resorts World Manila’s Staycay Your Way 2.0 campaign. This staycation offers unlimited food and beverage, and upcycled pajamas as part of the hotel’s sustainability movement.
Perks include a cake kit in your room, a selection of your favorite snack and drinks with the option to fill your room’s fridge with three of your favorite beverages—from cocktails to smoothies, juices, coffee, and four snacks such as chips, popcorn, fresh fruits, candies or chocolates.
Take the entire family to swim at the Vega Pool. If the kids are too young to enjoy some of the activities, get to bond with them at the Kids Club where they can play videogames, sing along to their favorite songs at the karaoke or watch movies.
Dinner is served from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Oori with unlimited Korean barbecue on a set menu prepared by their Korean chef or indulge in an international buffet at S Kitchen. Keep the excitement going with a puzzle night complete with unlimited popcorn buckets. Wake up to a sumptuous breakfast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Sheraton Club with a choice of local comfort favorites or a complete Western meal to jumpstart your day. Before you check out at 3 p.m., don’t forget to fuel up with an unlimited lunch at Oori or S Kitchen.
Staycay Your Way 2.0 is at P15,888 for two adults, and P18,888 for two adults and two kids. For inquiries, call 79021800. Reservation is required. Visit www.sheratonmanila.com, follow @sheratonmanila on Facebook and Instagram.
Longer stay, afternoon tea, ice cream at The Peninsula Manila
Let’s start with PeninsulaTime, which literally makes a day at The Peninsula last longer than 24 hours. By prior arrangement—not just for their promo periods—guests may check in and out at any hour of the day or night for no additional fee. When they book a room or suite, it’s theirs for one night – even if they check in at 8 a.m. on and check out at 10 p.m. the next day.
For the price of overnight, you can stay for 38 hours, but this has to be arranged prior to checking in because the hotel lets the room “rest” for 48 hours after cleaning and sanitizing.
Apart from that, from July to August, the hotel has “Happy Rainy Days at The Pen” room package, which includes an overnight stay in a newly-renovated Deluxe Room (or upgrade to a suite) for two adults and two children ages five and below. Breakfast is at the Pen Lobby where you can indulge in local and international specialties like pork tocino, daing na bangus, and longganisa or pancakes, bircher muesli, and other treats you’d never have at home.
The package includes Peninsula’s Classic Afternoon Tea at the elegant lobby (or in the room), which can be shared by two. The package includes—for adult guests two pints of ice cream from The Peninsula Boutique’s brand-new line of alcohol-infused ice creams and sorbets. Or for kids you can choose two pints of icy milk, fruit, and nut-laden ice cream creations.
For every confirmed stay, the hotel and its partner Looking for Juan will donate two books to children from underprivileged communities.
Looking for Juan is an on-line social enterprise store that is home to socially relevant and artsy merchandise. Kids will get two story/activity books from Canvas and two art face masks; adults can choose a set of eight gift cards with envelopes and one art magnet from Canvas.
Rates start at P9,000 for a Deluxe Room, exclusive of taxes, in July and August. Call 8887 2888 ext. 6630 for inquiries; email [email protected]; visit peninsula.com
