ICYMI: Japan's low-cost airline will be servicing between Manila and Narita starting July, to offer one-way base fares as low as P4,000
A recent study revealed that Japan is the number one most searched destination by Filipinos, making it a top travel destination of choice. But for many Pinoys who are on a budget, the Land of the Rising Sun may just be a dream as it is generally considered an expensive travel destination. However, there are still ways to travel on a budget, starting with your airfare.
If you've already missed out on seat sale promos, don't worry. Japan's low-cost airline ZIPAIR Tokyo will soon be servicing between Tokyo Narita and Manila, offering seats as low as P1,998!
According to a press release, the airline will be offering "quality service at a reasonable price" to Filipinos starting July 1, 2023.
"In recent years, the Republic of the Philippines is experiencing a strong economic growth and the carrier is expecting to see robust travel demand between the two countries. ZIPAIR looks to offer a new standard in air travel, featuring quality service at a reasonable price," the press release read.
ZIPAIR offers two types of seats: Standard seat, which is like a regular economy seat, and ZIP Full-Flat seat or their business class seat.
A Standard seat can cost as little as US$ 105 (P5,817) one way for Manila to Tokyo flights, and JPY 11,000 (P4,397) one way for Tokyo to Manila flights. For kids ages 6 and under, the rates would be US$ 48 (P2,684), and JPY 5,000 (P1,998), respectively.
Meanwhile, those who opt to choose ZIP Full-Flat seats, can pay as low as US$ 300 one way for Manila to Tokyo flights, and JPY 40,000 one way for Tokyo to Manila flights.
The prices mentioned are exclusive of airport charges, fees, and taxes. Each fare includes a maximum of 7kg carry-on baggage allowance, but flight packages for optional services can save you a lot as compared to buying it individually.
The Biz flight package is priced at $29 (P1,621) and it includes seat selection and a carry-on baggage allowance of 12kg.
If you want to add a meal, plus a 12kg carry-on baggage allowance, and select your seat, the Value flight package is the best option for you. It's priced at $51 (P2,851).
The Premium package is at $76 (P4,249) and aside from the perks mentioned in Value, you'll get a 23kg baggage allowance and an amenity set with a tote bag.
For now, there will only be one departing flight from Manila and one return flight from Narita daily, starting July 1 until October 28, 2023.
Unfortunately, if you wish to cancel your flight and get refunded or change the booking date, those are not permitted.
