Travel Wrapped: Pinoys' top holiday spots this 2023 revealed

Now that the year-end travel deals are here, many Filipino travelers are ready to hit the road and book their flights, particularly to off-the-beaten-path local destinations and popular international spots. Airbnb data revealed that Sorsogon City in Bicol was searched most in 2023, indicating a surge in Filipino travelers seeking its pristine beaches.

San Felipe in Zambales, another beach destination, and Las Piñas City in Metro Manila were listed next. Meanwhile, well-known beach destinations such as Puerto Princesa in Palawan and Boracay in Aklan also made it to the list.

With three cities on the list, Japan emerges as the undisputed international choice for Pinoys, with Taito City, Shinjuku, and Osaka sparking the most travel desires. Hong Kong, listed between the Japanese destinations, claimed the second spot.

When it comes to the Airbnb categories, many travelers booked Tropical stays, followed by Iconic Cities. Adventurous travelers seeking outdoor experience booked accommodations from the Amazing Pools, National Parks, and Golfing categories.
