Maja Salvador, Rambo Nuñez ring in anniversary at Amangiri. Here's how much it costs to stay a night at the luxury resort
Love is in the air!
After their lavish wedding at The Apruva Kempinsky Bali, soon-to-be parents Maja Salvador and Rambo Nuñez are celebrating their first wedding anniversary with a vacation at another luxury spot: Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah, USA.
If the background looks familiar, you might have seen the minimalist concrete architecture amidst the surrounding desert in the posts of Hollywood celebrities like the Kardashian-Jenners, Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande, and more.
"Happy Heart’s Day My Love @rambonunez. You & Little Ramba are My everything," Maja wrote in the caption of her Instagram reel, which shows the couple sitting by the fireplace and admiring the majestic view of the desert. Another post shows the couple having their anniversary and Valentine's Day dinner.
Amangiri is a luxury accommodation by the Aman group (the same ones who manage Amanpulo in the Philippines). The modern minimalist architecture 600-acre resort was designed by Marwan Al-Sayed, Rick Joy, and Wendell Burnett.
Seeking to offer an even more intimate connection with nature, the resort unveiled Camp Sarika in 2020, featuring 10 luxurious tented pavilions.
But how much is it a night and why do A-listers love it so much?
Suites
The resort has seven types of suites: Desert Suite, Mesa Suite, Orchard Suite, Desert Pool Suite, Mesa Pool Suite, Girijaala Suite, and Amangiri Suite.
According the the website, its design features include white stone floors, concrete walls, natural timbers and fittings in blackened steel. Each suite also has an outdoor lounge and fireplace with expansive desert views.
An overnight stay starts at $3,617 (P202,000), not including taxes and fees, and it can go as high as $5,100 (P285,000) per night, depending on the type of suite.
Pavilions
For the ultimate luxury escape, there are also pavilions available at Camp Sarika, which is a five-minute drive across the desert from the main resort. It's totally secluded, allowing privacy and a "wilderness experience."
Book either a one-bedroom pavilion (Private Canyon Pavilion, Mesa Pavilion, Sunset Pavilion) or a two-bedroom (Mesa Pavilion or Grand View Pavilion). The pavilions cost $5,600 (P313,000) up to $8,217 (P460,000) per night.
The stays for both suites and pavilions already include daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner for two guests per room (excluding non-alcoholic beverages and alcoholic drinks) and in-room refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages.
While you're there, why not enjoy nature? The rates are also inclusive of daily scheduled guided group hikes, group wellness classes, and access to self-guided on-property hikes.
Other amenities
Options to enhance your stay are also available. Activities include horseback riding, tours to the Upper Antelope Canyon, and more. You can even upgrade your stay with more perks. For an added fee, the Desert Romance stay already includes full board meals, transfers, an activity of your choice, a 60-minute yoga session, a 30-minute meditation session, a 105-minute spa treatment, and a private dinner for two.
The Desert Wellness package includes full board meals, a choice of 60-minute movement or mindfulness session per person, and a choice of three 60-minute personalized treatments per person.
Despite its remote location, the resort boasts two dining options: Amangiri and Camp Sarika, serving Native American and seasonal menus respectively.
But if you're looking for a more romantic setup, Amangiri can also arrange private dinners within the resort.
Getting to Amangiri is only 25 minutes by car from the Page Municipal Airport. However, you can also skip the flight for a scenic road trip! Consider the stunning 4.5-hour drive from Phoenix or Las Vegas, soaking in the breathtaking landscapes along the way.
