Staying connected: How these celebs #DoItBetter at home

Published Sep 29, 2021 8:00 pm

The COVID-19 pandemic may have disrupted our lives, but it should not hinder us from seeking opportunities and pursuing better routines.

Get inspired by these Filipino celebrities—sportscaster Boom Gonzalez, actress Bettina Carlos-Eduardo, actress and entrepreneur Ynna Asistio, host and entreprenur Roxane Montealegre, basketball player Chris Newsom, Cebu-based streamer and cosplayer Charess Kurogane, twin sisters Vern and Verniece Enciso, and TV host Kelly Misa—who have managed to #DoItBetter at work and in life even in the most trying times.

Working smarter at home

For Boom Gonzalez, it’s all about applying a progress-led mindset. “I don't let limitations or challenges deter me from delivering what is needed and expected of me. You either make excuses, or you work around everything and find a way to make it work,” says Gonzalez.

Bettina Carlos-Eduardo gets things done even when she spends most of her days at home. The secret? A reliable internet service.

“It allows me to conduct my online talks without getting disconnected. It also lets me do live streaming with high-quality videos,” shares Bettina.

Earning better at home

Entrepreneur Ynna Asistio relies on her digital devices in managing her business, Radiant Jewelry.

“Being in PR and marketing means staying online all the time! Most of our social media platforms today requires lightning speed and reliable connection to be able to do things better,” Ynna says.

Host and entrepreneur Roxanne Montealegre balances her duties as a new mom and a digital agency owner pretty well.

“Working from home, while I watch over the little one and the big baby is far from easy but I won’t have it any other way. I feel confident doing business using my mobile phone for my digital company @digiscapeph because of reliable and faster internet connection,” she enthuses.

Pursuing passions and relationships better

Despite physical restrictions, these celebrities still managed to find ways to be productive and do what they love.

Basketball player Chris Newsome stays on top of everything NBA even when at home.

“Being a basketball player myself, I always try to find the opportunities to learn from the best in the world. Watching the NBA Finals allowed me to grow my own personal knowledge with each game,” says the Fil-Am cager.

Cebu-based streamer and cosplayer Charess Kurogane admits that she can’t live without the internet.

“Everything I do, whether it’s gaming, cosplay, work, business, or bonding with friends, needs a fast and reliable home network,” Charess says.

Meanwhile, twin sisters Vern and Verniece Enciso say they still get to nurture their bond while co-producing quality lifestyle content together even when apart due to travel restrictions.

“Since Vern and I now live in different cities, having a reliable internet connection is essential. Our reliable internet connection makes it possible to still work on VV & Co, content creation, and our weekly catch-up girly sessions,” saiys Verniece.

Model and TV host Kelly Misa shared a short IG reel featuring her young family. The post gives her followers a glimpse of a happy, healthy family life.

“Being at home for the most part of 2020 and 2021 has taught my family so many life lessons. We learned to adapt and find ways to improve ourselves, even if we’re staying indoors. We seriously couldn’t have done it without PLDT Home –the strongest connection so we can #DoItBetter,” says Kelly.

Just like these celebrities, Filipino families can definitely do things better at home with PLDT Home's reliably strong internet connectivity.
