IKEA Philippines opens collection points in Pampanga and Cebu to cater to more Filipinos
Been wanting to order home items from IKEA Philippines but you live far away from its initial covered areas for delivery? You may now do so due to newly opened collection points in Pampanga in Central and North Luzon and Cebu in Visayas.
The Swedish brand’s e-commerce business is now able to cater to Pinoys residing in certain provinces via the designated hubs, “where customers outside of Metro Manila can pick up their online purchases from the largest IKEA store in the world.”
“We are always looking for new ways to make our home furnishing solutions more accessible to the many people,” fulfillment developer Jon Cinconiegue said in a statement. “Through additional collection points in Luzon and Visayas, we can reach even more Filipinos and help them create a better and more sustainable everyday life.”
The Pampanga collection point, which started its operations in December last year, is located at Cluster J, The Shoppes @ Infinity in Angeles City. The Cebu hub, meanwhile, is located at Veranda Alley, Robinsons Galleria Cebu City, Gen. Maxilom Ave. Extension Cor. Sergio Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to avail the collection point service via its online store, as provided by the home furnishing brand:
- Upon checkout, select the Click & Collect option.
- Choose preferred collection point, collection date, and time of pickup. Note that there’s an additional charge for the service: P900 for Pampanga and P2,700 for Cebu.
- After payment, shoppers will receive an order confirmation and SMS notification once order is ready for pickup at the collection point.
IKEA Philippines opened its doors to the public on Nov. 25, nine weeks after the launch of its online store. Prior to the opening of its new collection points in Pampanga and Cebu, it was already serving digital shoppers outside the National Capital Region, including, among others, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, parts of Quezon (up to Lucena), Bulacan, and Bataan.
