'Your parcel has arrived!': Bride's wedding interrupted after delivery rider arrives with her package
For most couples, a perfect wedding day means no unforeseen accidents and no sudden interruptions. After all, it's not every day that you get to exchange lifelong vows with the love of your life as you slip on your wedding rings that cement you as husband and wife.
But for a certain bride in Libmanan, Camarines Sur, her special day was interrupted not by a jealous mistress who wants to steal her husband away, or a domineering family member who doesn't approve of their union.
Rather, her wedding day was interrupted by a notification from her Shopee app—the delivery rider had arrived to drop off her order.
In a Facebook post, Loren Barrios Tayomora shared her hilarious encounter with a rider from an e-commerce delivery company, where she could be seen approaching the rider to receive her package in the middle of her reception, all while she was donning her wedding dress.
"Yes po, po may Shopee delivery pa rin po tayo sa mismong wedding day. Thank you po Kuya Rider," Tayomora captioned her post, accompanying it with several laughing emojis.
Tayomora shared with PhilSTAR L!fe that the delivery rider had arrived on a Thursday while she and her husband Joshua were busy doing Pantomina, a traditional wedding dance practiced in the Bicol region that imitates the courtship and lovemaking of doves.
"Actually, I didn't expect the parcel to arrive on that day. Akala ko po on Saturday pa siya since wala din pong text si J&T na may for delivery po," Tayomora recounted.
The newlywed shared that she actually invited the rider to come and join in the festivities, but he politely declined as he was rather busy that day.
Fortunately, Tayomora had already purchased the item through cashless payment, so the delivery had been smooth.
Her post about her hilarious encounter with the rider has since tickled the funny bones of hundreds of netizens, which Tayomora said was "fulfilling" as she was grateful that she shared some good vibes with the world.
