Coffee or Coke? You can have both in new drinks infused with Brazilian coffee
“Sips like a Coke, finishes like a coffee.”
Would you consider yourself a Coke and coffee lover? If your answer is yes, Cola-Cola’s new variant might just be a match made in heaven for you.
Now being sold in ready-to-drink coffee aisles in the United States, each 12-ounce can of Coca-Cola with Coffee is infused with 69 mg. of caffeine. It can be noted that the same serving of Regular Coke has 34 mg of caffeine, while Diet Coke has 46 mg.
Made with Brazilian coffee, it has three flavors: Caramel, Dark Blend, and Vanilla—with the last two available in zero sugar variants, too.
According to the company, they found that over 50% of Coca-Cola drinkers and coffee enthusiasts enjoy both drinks on a regular basis. “Many people are often torn between reaching for a soft drink or a coffee at 3 p.m. at work, at school, or on the go,” its brand director Brandan Strickland said in a press release.
Strickland revealed they spent two years testing the latest offering in the US, saying, “It’s not just testing a product and a formula, but it’s also making sure that we have the right packaging, that we’re really understanding what consumers want in the drink.”
Additionally, it’s also stated on their official website that “each country tailors the Coca-Cola With Coffee recipe and packaging mix to meet local tastes.”
After Coke Energy and Coke Energy Cherry, Cherry Vanilla Coke, and Orange Vanilla Coke, Coca-Cola with Coffee is the newest addition to the Coca-Cola Trademark in the U.S. The firm added it’s the 50th market to launch Coca-Cola with Coffee, which first arrived in Japan in 2018.
In the Philippines, the Coca-Cola with Coffee was offered in select convenience stores for P52 for a limited time in 2019.
