Canada is about to become even more accessible for Filipinos as Air Canada is launching nonstop flights between Vancouver and Manila.

Canada's flagship airline announced on Dec. 5 the expansion of flights between Vancouver International Airport and Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippines, making it the third Southeast Asian destination launched in the last two years. Currently, Air Canada is the only Canadian carrier scheduled in the Philippines.

What to expect

The new route will operate four times weekly beginning April 2, 2025, using the airline's flagship Dreamliner aircraft. It features three cabins: Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy, and Economy Class.

Travelers will enjoy the airline's complimentary and extensive in-flight entertainment content from Apple TV+, Audible, Disney+, Hayu, and more.

Air Canada's international flights feature meals from renowned Canadian chefs like David Hawksworth, Vikram Vij, and Jérôme Ferrer, and a curated selection of wines by acclaimed sommelier Véronique Rivest.

There's also the Vancouver Air Canada Signature Suite, which offers a la carte dining and premium beverage options, as well as the Air Canada International Maple Leaf Lounge.

For those with connecting flights, Vancouver also has in-transit customs pre-clearance to simplify the transit through YVR. The new route also offers connections to over 50 North American destinations via Vancouver International Airport. So, whether you're headed to see the stunning coastal beauty of Vancouver, the iconic CN Tower in Toronto, or visit the shooting locations from the setting of Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo's Hello, Love Again, in Calgary, there's something for you.

Flights from Canada to Manila can be purchased starting Dec. 5 on aircanada.com, through Air Canada's contact centers, and via travel agents.
