Sunnies Studios launches Readers to help you see up close

Published Dec 09, 2022 8:00 pm

Reading glasses have become universally necessary for everyone, especially for those at the age of 40 and above. As we get older, our vision becomes less flexible, making it harder to read—a condition known as presbyopia. And this is why eyewear is a must-have, and not just as an accessory, for those who need to see and read things better.

With the goal of making reading easier, Filipino eyewear brand Sunnies Studios has recently released its first-ever collection of reading glasses called Readers, and they might help you to improve your vision—no matter what age you are.

The perfect fit

Choosing the wrong lens can give you unwanted side effects such as headaches and eye strain, so it is important to use the right glasses all the time. The best way to find the right strength is to try on different pairs yourself and see which works best for you.

The Readers collection is equipped with scratch-resistant lenses that give you clear vision at close range. It offers five different lens powers of +1.00, +1.50, +2.00, +2.50, and +3.00 diopters.

Style options

When buying an eyewear, it is also important that the product is thoughtfully-made with style so you can wear it confidently wherever you are. They come in three classic styles; all made with recycled polyester. Pilot 1 is a rounded pilot frame with a medium fit, Rectangle 1 is a rounded rectangle frame with a wide fit, and Rectangle 2 is a classic rectangle frame. Choose from two neutral colors of Slate and Mushroom.

 Sustainable eyewear

As part of ‘Responsible Sunnies’ commitment—in which it pledged to stop the use of virgin plastic in the production of its eyewear—these new ready-made reading glasses are responsibly-made with recycled polyester that also comes in a biodegradable box.

“In this way, we continue with our efforts while responsibly creating quality eyewear for all,” the local eyewear brand said.

Accessibility

Aside from its dedication to protecting the environment, Sunnies also wants to increase the accessibility of eyewear for everyone. That’s something Sunnies has always believed in since 2013—if something is that good, it should be enjoyed by many.

Staying true to its mission, Readers is the latest addition to Sunnies’ line of grab-and-go eyewear, conveniently accessible online and in various in-store locations.

Priced at P595 a pair or P495 when you buy two or more, the Readers collection is up for grabs in-store and online. Available at select Sunnies Studios and Digital Walker stores, Shopee, Lazada, and sunniesstudios.com.

“We wanted to make eyewear more accessible by providing a cheaper option that’s readily available in internal and external channels,” the local eyewear brand said.

Indeed, the Sunnies’ Readers collection promises to make you feel and look good, no matter what age you are.

Founded in the Philippines in 2013, Sunnies Studios started as a one stop-shop for sunglasses and later on as a full-service optical that houses both sunglasses and prescription eyewear. It is globally available through sunniesstudios.com and is present in three countries with 132 stores.
