Amp up your Noche Buena table with lechon… bread
Christmas gatherings may be limited due to the current pandemic, but it doesn’t mean you can no longer have fun during the most wonderful time of the year.
Even with smaller groups, you can still make it one to remember. This includes bringing festive cheer to your Noche Buena table, and it wouldn’t be complete without one of its stars: lechon. However, some may be looking for a healthier alternative mainly because of its cost and health impacts.
If you’re one of them, a lechon bread (yes, you read that right) could equally make a great addition to your Pinoy feast—available in ham and cheese, bacon and cheese, raisin and cheese, and more, as they accept special requests, too.
“What makes it a must-try is its novelty given the whole lechon bread is edible and it’s a typical replacement for the real lechon given its cost,” JJ Sta. Barbara of Bread for Every Juan said in an interview with PhilSTAR L!FE. “Even the kids and kids at heart love it!”
To add, their creativity doesn’t stop at lechon bread. Apart from offering it in other shapes like crab, fish, and snake, they’re also selling other delectable treats like ube cheese pandesal, triple cheese donut, toasted siopao, yema cake, banana loaf, crinkles, and customized cakes.
