7-Eleven releases this campaign season's election GULP cups
It's time for another mock poll!
Popular convenience store chain 7-Eleven has released its newest Presidential GULP Cups as part of its 7-Election campaign. This unofficial poll "aims to promote awareness about the coming Philippine Presidential Election."
"HETO NA ANG 7-ELECTION 2022! Speak CUP freely with your favorite GULP drink or City Cafe coffee sa 7-Eleven. Promise, walang judgement," they wrote on Facebook sharing a photo of the cups.
From Mar. 9 to Apr. 27, customers may choose a #SpeakCup of their choice when ordering a GULP drink. It comes in six designs, each bearing the face of the five presidentiables—and one for the undecided—and two sizes: small for hot drinks and large for cold drinks.
Candidates include Senator Ping Lacson, Bong Bong Marcos Jr., Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Vice President Leni Robredo. While those who are still contemplating on which candidate to vote for may get the "Undecided" cup.
To participate, scan the barcode found on the cup and cast your vote. Results will be shown daily on the 7-Election's website.
The 7-Eleven poll first launched in the United States in 2000 and predicted the wins of former President George W. Bush in 2004 and President Barack Obama in 2008.
In the Philippines, it predicted the win of late president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III in 2010 and president Rodrigo Roa Duterte in 2016.
