Chocolatey desserts that can take you on a one-of-a-kind adventure

What’s the easiest way to turn a bad day around?

One word: chocolate. Decadent, sweet, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate. Just a bar of it can be enough at times, but there are days you’d find yourself needing so much that the calories won’t matter anymore. For the latter, it could simply be a huge serving of chocolate dessert or just a little bit of everything.

To conclude today's Chocolate Day, July 7, we’re highlighting some chocolatey desserts that can provide you with a heavenly adventure and make your day. Whatever you pick, you will make the right choice.

This offering by Restaurant Metronome may not look like much, but the variety it holds is quite something. It’s called “chocolate textures” as each serving combines three kinds of chocolate: dark chocolate fudge (by Risa Chocolates, South Cotabato), milk chocolate espuma (by Auro Chocolate, Davao del Sur), and Salted Cacao Crisps (by Lerio Chocolates, Agusan del Sur).

Get ready for chocolate overload from Tsoko PH’s Hazelnut Fudge Cake. This 6-inch chocolate cake (P800) is amped up with silky hazelnut cream and layers of roasted hazelnuts. The best part? It comes with a jar of dark Malagos fudge sauce that takes it up a notch.

If you want something rich but not overwhelming, you can try Butternut MNL’s Single Origin Chocolate. Placed in a 3x6 loaf pan, this baby cake (P352.50) is made with moist chocolate cake topped with rich chocolate buttercream frosting. The result? An irresistible dessert you might not be able to get enough of.

Should you prefer croissant over cake, Éclair Bar has a 70-gram croissant (P475/box of three) stuffed with a generous serving of hazelnut mousse. The Nutella hazelnut and cashew nuts on top give it an even sweeter upgrade.

Have you heard of croffles? Kuro Kuro Croffle is offering such a combination, which has the goodness of croissant and waffles in one snack. Check out its mini choco crunch variant (P33 each) in the photo below—its soft croffle, mouthwatering glaze, and crispy toppings have undoubtedly made it one of the stars of its delightful menu.
