You can soon enjoy your favorite comfort dishes from Manam when you're in Singapore. Hayop ni Manam, a spin-off restaurant, is opening in the Lion City.

The restaurant teased about the opening on July 3 with a post that said, "Our Filipino brand is spreading its wings."

It'll soon be serving up favorites like its house crispy sisig, beef short rib and watermelon sinigang, crispy pancit palabok, and more in Singapore's Amoy Street in Chinatown.

Manam is also known for its kare-kare, Gising Gising, ube + sago pampalamig, crispy pata with garlic chili bits, halo-halo, and puto bumbong with muscovado butter.

The upcoming restaurant is the Moment Group's first venture outside the Philippines.

Manam held a pop-up in Singapore in 2019. One of the Moment Group's founders, Abba Napa, told CNA Lifestyle that there has been clamor in the country for their food from Filipinos.

"For the last six years, we've been getting emails from people from different markets saying, 'Please open here.' I didn't take them seriously until finally, someone said, 'If you get one email every month, maybe you should explore it,'" she told the news channel.

"I feel like maybe, there's a chance to take care of nostalgic, homesick Filipinos," Napa continued, adding that she also hopes the restaurant will introduce non-Pinoys to their food.

Hayop is a Filipino word for animal and in casual use, refers to beast. It's also used by Pinoys to express their amazement.

While the Moment Group hasn't announced a date yet for the opening, CNA Lifestyle said Hayop ni Manam is opening on July 12.

In the Philippines, Manam serves comfort food at Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Trinoma, SM Fairview, SM City Baguio, Robinsons Magnolia, Festival Mall, Uptown Mall, Gateway Mall, Glorietta, Eastwood, Ayala Triangle Gardens, SM Clark, Netpark in BGC, Opus, Greenbelt 3, SM Mega Fashion Hall, SM Mall of Asia, SM Aura Premier, Rockwell, and more.
