Did you know that Lovi Poe and Monty Blencowe's luxurious wedding venue is a favorite of the royal family?
The couple tied the knot at Cliveden House in England on Sunday, Aug. 27 (Philippine time) after being together for four years. According to Harper's Bazaar, the five-star estate was where Meghan Markle stayed before her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018. The breathtaking mansion also became home to the Duke of Buckingham, the Prince of Wales, as well as Lord and Lady Astor.
As stated on its website, Cliveden House was established by the 2nd Duke of Buckingham in 1666 as a gift to his mistress. It boasts 376 acres of formal gardens and woodlands featuring "the celebrated Parterre, season-long floral displays, distinctive topiary, and a collection of exceptional sculptures" and overlooking the River Thames.
At the end of the garden is the 17th-century mansion that provides panoramic views over the Berkshire countryside.
The extravagant place has 47 bedrooms and suites in the main mansion, ranging from P32,000 to P111,000 per night. The most affordable one is the club room, which is perfect for short stays. There are junior suites with each one decked out with traditional designs with high ceiling starting at P61,000 per night.
The deluxe suites, meanwhile, start at P78,000 per night. Each one is "luxurious and generously proportioned" with high ceiling and lounge areas.
The priciest accommodations at Cliveden include the Mansion House Parterre Suites, which come with "luxurious interiors, spectacular garden views, and many outstanding features." Prices range from P112,000 to P122,000 per night.
There's also the Spring Cottage, which is a three-bedroom house situated along the banks of the River Thames. It costs around P160,000 per night.
Guests can indulge in fancy and delicious dishes in the dining room that offers a majestic view of Parterre, the National Trust gardens, and River Thames. It has 30% vegan and plant-based selections as well as the "Great Royal Afternoon Tea" menu with sweet delights inspired by flowers that grow in the royal gardens.
Aside from mouthwatering eats, guests can also treat themselves to a pamper session at the spa, with services like body massage and facial treatment.
There's also an inviting indoor pool as well as an outdoor hot tub for relaxation.
