IKEA Philippines’ online store is officially open
IKEA Philippines has officially opened its online store to Filipino homebodies.
Back in September, it made online shopping available at a limited capacity “to test all operational and technical processes and ensure an enjoyable and hassle-free online shopping experience.”
Among the most popular items during that short period were home storage and workspace products as well as home décor such as the KUPONG alarm clock (P90), FEJKA artificial potted plant (P290), and the BONDIS wall clock (P590).
“After several weeks of learning from our test-run, we are glad that we are now accessible to more Filipinos,” said store manager Georg Platzer. “We are very excited to be part of the lives of the many people in the Philippines and share in their dreams of a better life at home.”
How can you add some must-haves to your cart? All you have to do is sign up for an IKEA website account, determine the products you like, add to cart, and then proceed to payment, which you can process via major credit cards and GCash.
Note that your IKEA website account is different from your IKEA Family Club membership. The latter is more of a way for the home furnishing brand to offer various rewards, benefits, and experiences to its loyal customers.
As for the delivery of your items, your options include via truck, parcel, and click and collect. Truck delivery orders are available in Metro Manila. Parcel deliveries, however, can be made possible in some areas outside the National Capital Region such as Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, parts of Quezon (up to Lucena), Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bataan, and Subic.
“Orders that do not exceed more than 30 kg in weight and 1.8 meters in length and height will be considered as parcel orders,” IKEA PH said in a press release. “If an order exceeds more than 30 kg, and the height and length are more than 1.8 meters, it will be considered as a truck delivery order.”
Additionally, you may opt to get your orders from your chosen pick-up points.
IKEA Philippines is set to open within the year in Pasay City. You may check out the Swedish name’s entire catalogue here.
