Rabiya Mateo gets emotional over finally buying a house for her family in Iloilo: 'Sobrang sarap sa feeling'
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo shared the immense joy she felt from her latest achievement: buying a home for her family.
The beauty queen talked about the experience of purchasing a property for her loved ones in an Instagram post on Jan. 22. She also talked about how she never imagined the day would come when they would finally have their own home.
"I'm kinda getting emotional kasi looking back then, parang it was impossible for us to get a property kasi nagre-rent lang kami and no permanent address din. Naka-ilang lipat ng bahay," Mateo said.
"God has been so good to me and my family. At sa lahat ng blessings na pumasok talaga, God is so good."
Mateo gave a glimpse of the outside of the new Iloilo home in the video and gave some words of encouragement to other breadwinners like her who are working for their families.
"Hopefully in the coming years, mas mapaganda pa namin yung bahay na to. Kaya sa mga breadwinners diyan, alam ko na mahirap, minsan nakakapagod din na maraming tao umaasa sayo, but use that fuel to strive harder. Sobrang sarap sa feeling makapag-provide sa mga taong mahal mo," the beauty queen said.
In her caption, Mateo also thanked all the people who supported her throughout her journey.
