LIST: LRT, MRT, and PNR operating schedules during Holy Week 2024
Three major railway companies LRT, MRT, and PNR have announced their operating schedule in observance of this year's Holy Week.
In addition to malls getting adjusted hours, public transportation systems like the said trains will also get different hours or no operations at all. If you're planning to travel across the metro during Holy Week, check out the schedules below.
LRT-1
The Light Rail Transit system (LRT)-1 will continue its regular line hours for passengers on March 25 to 26 for Holy Monday and Tuesday.
However, it will temporarily halt its railway operations traveling from Baclaran to Roosevelt station from March 27 to March 31 to give way for its annual maintenance works.
The said transit will resume its normal operations on April 1, Monday.
LRT-2
In a Facebook post, LRT-2 will implement a shortened operating hours on March 27, Holy Wednesday from 5 a.m earliest trip to 7 p.m. last trip.
No operations will be held among the LRT-2 stations from March 28 (Maunday Thursday) to March 31 (Easter Sunday) for Semana Santa maintenance activities.
MRT-3
Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT) will observe regular hours of operation for commuters during Holy Wednesday, March 27.
Train trips, meanwhile, will be suspended from Maundy Thursday, March 28, until Easter Sunday, March 31, to make way for its annual maintenance works within the transport system.
Commuters can expect the normal operation of the said transit on April 1, Monday.
PNR
The Philippine National Railway will momentarily suspend its entire operation in Metro Manila starting March 28. The said suspension will last for five years to give way to the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project.
